    • Richard Vinhais is a Hartford-based management consultant in Ernst & Young’s Program Advisory Services (PAS) practice. He has over 8 years of information technology (IT), program / project management and transactional experience across numerous industries such as retail banking, automotive, insurance and communications. Richard also touts knowledge across business & technology issues including strategy, post deal integration, governance and process redesign.

      Highlights
      --- Implemented and controlled a global project management office (PMO), in Germany, for a post deal IT separation engagement for the largest business separations in history. Provided strategic planning, oversight and reporting which spanned C-Level executives and resources across the Americas, EMEA and APAC

      --- Led the Carve-Out of a fortune global top 10 organization, with an emphasis on an IT transformation, within the international sales & marketing divisions. Encompassed 25+ countries across Europe and Asia Pacific.

      --- Acted as the project manager for a major M&A (IT Integration) project for a Fortune 50 Communications organization. Included in this project was the transitioning of the IT department’s people, processes and technologies to synergize with the parent companies overarching methodologies and frameworks.

      --- Implemented a comprehensive project management office (PMO), guided the creation & prioritization of the clients portfolio of projects and educated a staff of 10 on project management methodology for a Fortune 100 Insurance organization's commercial division. Advisement and framework were geared towards supporting the division’s business transformation vision to double growth within a five-year timeframe.

      --- On a quarterly basis Richard teaches a 3 day project management fundamentals seminar (offered nationally) to managers, senior managers, executive directors and partners within the Ernst & Young organization.
